Joseph Nathan Cohen is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the City University of New York, Queens College. He is the former Director of Queens College’s Master’s Program in Applied Social Research. He is the co-author of Global Capitalism (2010, Polity Press).
Before joining Queens College’s Department of Sociology, Professor Cohen taught at the Marketing Department of Temple University’s Fox School of Business. He earned his doctorate from Princeton University in 2007, where he studied under Miguel Centeno (chair), Paul DiMaggio, Bruce Western, and Scott Lynch. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Carleton University’s International Business Program and studied at the University of Buenos Aires’ Faculty of Economic Sciences.
